I tend not to follow twitter accounts but I looked at Morrie's today and he retweeted a twit about Minator's 46th birthday. I guess there's no bad blood with that split.
|Morrie Ekstasis Live Report
||[04 Mar 2012|10:29pm]
Some tidbits translated from the most updated Dead End website 'Serpent Silver' http://serpentsilver.blog89.fc2.com/
Quite a few of my favorite songs from kage no kyoen were played. If only this were recorded for DVD!
-The opening SE was of Syoko's Sunset off her first mini album Soil and G-Schmitt's K no souretsu. (Morrie has used Syoko / G-Schmitt songs for Creature Creature or Dead End SEs before)
-Morrie's wife Heather participated in 2 or 3 songs.
-Songs with guests on them:
HEAVEN（DEAD END） +YOU、JOE
DECOY（DEAD END） +YOU、JOE、kiyoharu
hakai shiyou！（MORRIE） + kiyoharu
-The live started with the appropriate 'Cosmos no naka ni'
-Two new songs were performed!
-Songlist from Serpent Silver.
03.猿の夢 (Heather Paauwe)
04.パニックの芽 (Heather Paauwe)
15.Heaven（DEAD END） Guest:YOU、CRAZY COOL-JOE
16.Decoy（DEAD END） Guest:YOU、CRAZY COOL-JOE、清春
22.あとは野となれ山となれ (Heather Paauwe)
Turns out Heather Paauwe, a violinist, is Morrie's wife. Go figure. I guess that explains her appearance on the Creature Creature albums!
|Redrum's Soto is now Goro?
||[21 Feb 2012|12:32am]
Redrum's former bassist extraordinaire Soto has long jumped in-and-out of projects. He left Redrum once, was support bassist for Sugizo's Spank Your Juice, was in Human Tail with ex-Redrum's Kazi, but now it seems that he's in another band: Burns.
The weird part is that he's changed his name and makes no mention of his history with Redrum. He mentions his time with Sugizo, but the band he was with for years doesn't even get mentioned once? And his blog is only about ramen and food which is completely useless and deciphering this mystery. I'm sorta puzzled by this burn the past that many Japanese artists do once they move on from a project, at least leave the former bands' webpage up for legacy purposes!
One mention on Michiro's (Burns' guitarist and former roady of Redrum) twitter feed confirms that Soto is indeed Goro:
Is Burn's bassist Redrum's Soto? Yes, it is.
I hope he plays some of those amazing basslines again. Currently Burns' music is just a mish-mosh of stuff with no discernible style or basswork! I want him to get funky like he used!
